Happy Tuesday
Halasana aka Plow Pose
I'm head over heels for this pose ;-)
Usually taught after Sarvangasana ( Shoulder Stand )
Great Mood Neutralizer - if your feeling anxious it calms you if your feeling lethargic it boost your energy level
Relaxes the nervous system
Stimulates the Thyroid
Stretches shoulders & Spine
From Shoulderstand Sarvangasana exhale toes to the floor beyond your head
-Lift top thigh & tail bone towards the ceiling
-Draw chin away from sternum soften through the throat area
- you can continue to push your lower back up towards the sky or you may release that hold pressing your arms actively down into your mat
release by returning to Shouldstand and slowly release on exhalation....

I love running
Running is the perfect time to sort out your thoughts & honour our body.
When i set aside some time in a day to push my bodies limits i feel like i've seized the moment & really lived the day.

Yoga & Running go hand in hand
Your Body is Your Temple
Always remember to stretch post run - hip flexors, hams & Achilles tendon
Setu Bandasana
Coming into your Bridge-
*Feet & knees come to hip width distance, be mindful not to allow the knees to splay open to the sides
*Finger tips barely knick the heals, inhale to lift the hips starting with the tail bone.
You may clasp your hand below you and come up onto your shoulders if that is available to you.
Shoulder blades shift down along the spine, allow for softness in the neck
Hold pose for 5 – 15 breaths actively breathing into the low back (lumbar region)
**Allow yourself to experience all the feelings and sensations that come along with your Bridge pose and think about finding length between the vertebrae.
*RELEASE SLOWLY on exhalation allowing for each vertebra to come down starting with the cervical spine, tail bone being the last to touch down.
